Free Admission For A Number Of Heritage Sites Today

The Office of Public Works is reminding the public that a number of it’s heritage sites offer free admission today and on every first Wednesday of the month.  Full details of all of the sites is available nationwide can be found on the website hertiageireland.ie 

The Swiss Cottage in Cahir is one of the venues offering free admission today between 10am and 5.15pm. Access to the interior  of the Cottage Orne is by guided tour only – these tours are available with a limit on the number of people taking part on a first come first served basis. Cahir Castle, Ormond Castle in Carrick on Suir, Roscrea Castle and Gardens and Damer House and the restored Black Mills in Roscrea also offer free admission on the first Wednesday of each month.
