Tipperary Minor Hurling Homecoming Event At The John Doyle Clubhouse

Holycross Ballycahill GAA club is extending an invitation to the wider public to attend a homecoming event at the John Doyle Clubhouse in Holycross this evening for the All Ireland winning Tipperary Minor Hurling team at 9.15pm tonight.

Cathal O’Reilly, the star full back and team captain from Holycross Ballycahill and fellow clubman Tiarnan Ryan who won the Man of the Match Award will be joined by their team mates and the Team Management. The Irish Press Cup presented to the All-Ireland winners and the John Doyle Perpetual Cup for the Munster Championship will be on display. The Doyle family in Holycross presented the new Trophy this year to honour the Holycross star of yesterday who won a total of 8 Senior All Ireland Medals with Tipperary.  John Doyle sadly died in 2010 aged 80 years.

The Team Management of James Woodlock, Ray Doyle, Brendan Ferris, Cormac McGrath, Conor O’Brien and Willie Ryan are also expected to be in attendance. Golden Kilfeacle member Diarmaid Carr is the strength and conditioning coach for the team who emerged victorious after playing with only 13 players from the 25th minute of the first half right though the 30 minutes of extra time.

Final Score Tipperary 2 – 17  Kilkenny 3 – 12.
