Emergency Services responded to an incident close to Barronstown Cross on the N24 last evening. The incident occurred at approximately 7pm. Garda and National Ambulance service personnel attended the scene.
It is understood that a car joining the N24 from the side road was involved in a collision with the truck causing some damage to the front of the car. Garda say no injuries were sustained that required hospital treatment.
The junction at Barronstown Cross between Tipperary town and Limerick Junction intersects with the N24 and has seen several minor Road Traffic Collisions in recent years as vehicles cross, join or leave the N24. A group of local residents have repeatedly called for traffic calming and safety measures to be installed at the Junction
