The Blood Transfusion Service(IBTS) is appealing for donors for Clinics in Thurles this evening and again tomorrow. The Clinics are being held at the DOME venue adjacent to Semple Stadium on the Nenagh Road. The clinics offer appointments from 4.50pm to 8.10pm each evening.
The IBTS says new donors and welcome and those wishing to donate should call 1800 222 111 for appointments. The Services is facing a 6% increase in demand from hospitals for blood products and adds that the Summer Holiday period and busy time on farms can sometimes lead to people missing a local clinic.
