The Irish Business Against Litter Report for their first survey of 2024 has placed Nenagh 7th best in the list of 40 towns surveyed across the country. Nenagh is the only Tipperary town included in the survey which found Naas to be the cleanest town in the survey ahead of Monaghan and Blanchardstown in Dublin.
The surveys are completed by members of An Taisce on behalf of IBAL which promotes clean towns as a vital prerequisite to successful economic activity. Nenagh was found to be cleaner than European Norms with no heavily littered sites and all bar two sites getting a Grade A.
