Boil Water Notice Lifted For Newport Public Water Supply Customers

The Boil Water Notice issued to customers supplied by the Newport Public Water Supply in Co Tipperary has been lifted with immediate effect. The notice was issued on June 15th due to higher than acceptable levels of turbidity in the raw water supply to the treatment plant.

The notice has been lifted following satisfactory sampling results and follows consultation undertaken with the Health Service Executive (HSE). 

The estimated 8,000 customers impacted by the Boil Water Notice to the Newport Public Water Supply, can now resume normal use of the public water supply.
