This coming Saturday, 22nd June, the CJ Kickham Brass Band are hosting the Cobh Confraternity Band for an outdoor recital at the Clock Tower on Mitchel Street, Tipperary town.
The afternoon’s entertainment will kick off at 2.45pm beginning with music from the CJ Kickham Band, followed by a recital by the Cobh Band. The Cahir Comhaltas Group will then perform before the grand finale – a joint recital by both bands.
The Cobh Confraternity Band is known throughout the tourist world as the band that plays for the thousands of passengers and crews of the ships that visit Cobh every year. They provide entertainment for up to 60 visiting cruise ships every Summer, hosted by the Port of Cork.
Carol O’Donovan the PRO of the CJ Kickham band is encouraging music lovers in Tipperary town and it’s hinterland to support the free event on Saturday afternoon at the Clock Tower.
