Tipperary Roads Policing Unit intercepted a vehicle in Thurles following an alert for no insurance while patrolling in the area.
Garda then established that the motorist had outstanding Warrants for Arrest. The driver also failed a DrugWipe test for Cocaine and Cannabis and was arrested on suspicion of Drug Driving and is being held in custody to appear in court. Garda have also seized the car.
Garda now have access to data in respect of Driving Licence, NCT and insurance via an app giving them real time access to data when they encounter any vehicle on the road.
