Uisce Eireann says repairs to a burst pipe on the Burncourt Water Supply Scheme are underway and that water supply is expected to return to all areas late tonight.
Areas potentially impacted include: Burncourt, Clogheen Village, Mitchelstown Road in Cahir, Mountain Road in Cahir, Mountain Drive in Cahir and surrounding areas.
The company also advises that it typically takes two to three hours for normal supply to fully restore to all areas as the water refills the network, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
