Five local charities have each received €100 from the Tipperary town Facebook page run by Josephine Carroll and Brendan Lonergan.
The page has over 28,000 followers around the world and one fan suggested that users of the page use the “Buy me a Coffee” digital platform to make a donation as a gesture of appreciation for the service.
The Tipp Town page administrators decided to let the money accumulate and then to make a small donation to other local groups.
The five groups to benefit so far are – the Meals on Wheels Service based at the Tipperary Community Services Centre, My Canine Companion – Autism & Therapy Services, Limerick Animal Welfare, Clare’s Wish Foundation and the Little Blue Heroes Gardaí Charity for children.
