A local business will begin a three-day celebration of 20 years trading today.
The Health Shop at Bank Place is marking the anniversary with a series of guest appearances by sales reps for products carried in the shop.
Owner Marie Kavanagh is also promising some birthday cake as she invites people to visit the shop to learn about the products and services available.
Ms Kavanagh set herself a goal of one day having such a shop after many visits to a health shop in Clonmel when she worked in the town. Ms Kavanagh is a trained Kinesiologist although she does not personally provide this service a Kinesiologist operates from rooms overhead the Health Shop. Staff working in the store are also highly experienced and trained with one member qualified in Sports Fitness Management and just about to complete a qualification in the area of Nutrition.
The Health Shop is really two shops in one with the second area focusing on gifts and crystals while the front part is stocked with health foods and supplements in addition to environmentally friendly cleaning products.
The message on the store website is “Health, Happiness, Love and Light to all” – and it really lives up to this ethos in the Bank Place premises, Tipperary town.
