Local election candidate for Tipperary-Cashel Jacqui Finnan is recovering well after suffering a heart attack earlier this week.
After the turn of events this week, Jacqui says she is “thankful to all the fantastic staff in University Hospital Limerick who acted swiftly and in the most efficient way as possible.”
Ms Finnan had a stent fitted last week into her right coronary artery and has warned people to heed any warning signs they might experience. Drawing on her experience and recuperation Jacqui is highlighting the importance of aftercare after suffering an event such as a heart attack. Ms Finnan is considering extensive advice provided in booklet form by the Irish Heart Foundation
Ms Finnan intends to have a short period of recuperation, whilst her team continue to canvass on her behalf leading up to the local elections on June 7th.
