The new retail services Post Office location in Cashel has come into operation since yesterday.
The Post Office is now situated in the SuperValu Store on Main Street approximately 100m from the previous location in the red brick post office building on Hogan Square.
The new location will operate Monday to Saturday with a 1pm closing time on Saturdays.
The office is open 9 – 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
The post office in Cashel has been run by a private contractor for a number of years and this Postmaster retired earlier this year leading An Post to seek an new Postmaster possibly co-located with another commercial operation.
The new facility features 3 counter windows for customers and will be officially opened on Friday.
An Post is to use the former post office building in Hogan Square for mail sorting services.
