710

The Tipperary Cahir Cashel MD will hold it’s April Meeting on Monday at 11am in Tipperary town. The 11 councillors will consider reports from the Council’s Environment section, the District Administrator and the District Engineer. In addition, the office of LAWPRO will give an update on it’s work to improve water quality in rivers, streams and lakes. A section of LAWPRO is now established in Heffernan House in Rossmore Village led by former District Administrator Anthony Coleman and will oversee the administration of a    €50M fund intended to support actions by farmers to improve water quality.

There are two motions down for consideration – Cllr Anne Marie Ryan is calling for works on the pathway from Bansha village to Barnlough (Bolands Cross) on the Cahir side of the village located on the N24. The motion notes that work has been done recently on the roadside verges but highlights that the pathway is in a state of disrepair, muddy and subject to flooding in parts. The second motion is from Cllr Mairin McGrath and calls for the installation of Public Lighting on the footpath on the Clogheen road into Ballyporeen village.
