A Tipperary Town secondary school is urging people to ignore any claim of fundraising efforts in their name.
The Abbey School says its come to their attention that individuals were going door to door yesterday.
The local school says their not engaged in fundraising at the moment in the local community.
The Abbey says if people are asked to sponsor activities on behalf of the school should not engage as they are not genuine.
