Gardaí in Cahir caught a driver speeding at 155km/hr in a 120km/h zone on the M8 over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The detection was part of an extensive Garda Roads Policing Operation on the country’s roads which included checks on speeding, tax and insurance and testing for drink/drug driving too
There were three fatalities on our roads during this period and five serious collisions took place that resulted in five people receiving serious and life-threatening injuries.
