The Tipperary Joint Policing Committee(JPC) is to meet in Tipperary town Council offices on February 27th at 10am.
The committee is made up of the five Tipperary TDs, certain nominated Councillors and representatives from the business, community and farming sector in addition to senior Garda from the Tipperary Clare Garda Division led by Chief Superintendent Colm O’Sullivan.
The Tipperary Joint Policing Committee expects to only hold two meetings this year as a new Local Community Safety Partnership is to be formed with wider stakeholders involved – to date the JPC has met 4 times a year. Members of the public can attend or watch on Zoom by prior notice but cannot speak at the meeting.
The meeting will be given an update on levels and patterns of crime, disorder, and anti-social behaviour in Tipperary via a presentation from An Garda Síochána on up-to-date crime statistics
The Meeting will also include a presentation by Padraigh Sutton, a Road Safety inspector with An Garda Siochana, in addition to updates on property marking, CCTV roll out, Community Safety meetings and the new IPAS centre in Roscrea.
