Applications under the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme or (TAMS 3) are now being accepted by the Department of Agriculture.  Priority approval facilities will be in place for farmers that need to commence works urgently. Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue  also confirms the continuation of TAMS 3, with Tranche 3 of the scheme open until 12 April 2024.

The popularity of this scheme is evident, with a total of 9,110 applications submitted during Tranche 2, which closed for applications on 19 January – 614 of the applications came from farmers in Tipperary.  The Department confirmed late last year that all eligible applications will be approved for Tranche 2.

TAMS provides financial aid to enable farmers to modernise their facilities and also put environmental and safety improvements in place with the added benefit of  supporting  the local construction industry.
