Tipperary County Council is giving advance notice of a road closure in the Cappawhite area.
To facilitate the laying of a new water mains pipe and the installation of service connections the road (R505) between Church Street (L-5108) and the R-497 will be closed from Monday February 12th until Friday March 8th.
The road works will be carried out between 7am and 6pm each day on the Glencar to Glassdrum road.
The Council is to put a Diversion Route in place as follows – drivers can use the Cappawhite (L -1159) to Four Cross Roads and the (L1156) Ironmills/Four Cross Roads/Toem/Doon Road as an alternative route.
Drivers are asked to drive with caution in the area due to the roadworks and also on the diversion routes as drivers may be unfamiliar with the route and extra volumes of traffic are expected.
