A Go Fund Me Campaign has been launched to support a local business man that suffered a significant loss due to a fire at his workshop on January 19th. The Tipperary Music Festival is organising the fundraiser for Jack Leonard after a fire at his workshop destroyed his work van, vintage vehicles, tools, motor bikes, bicycles and some family memorabilia including photographs.
Jack Leonard works in the business of TV installation and service. He chairs the Tipperary Vintage Rally Group which has raised over €270,000 for the South Tipperary Hospice Movement over several years by hosting a major rally in Tipperary town annually (June 16th 2024) and a number of Bike and Tractor runs especially the Honda 50 Run scheduled for March 22nd this year. In addition, the group provides supports to events such as Santa visits to schools and nursing homes – the specially adapted sleigh used by the Group was stored at a different location and is not amongst the items destroyed in the fire. The Group also assist with stewarding funerals and major public events such as St Patrick’s Day Festivities and were vital team members during the 2023 Tipperary Music Festival. The Go Fund me is titled jack-replace-everything-he-lost-in-the-big-fire and can be found at this link here.
