Five additional new social housing homes are being allocated this week by the Tipperary County Council in the Tipperary Cahir Cashel Municipal District.
The five three bedroomed homes are in Donohill and are now open for expressions of interest on the Choice Based Letting portal.
Last week 8 new homes in Boherclough Cashel were available for those approved for social housing to express their interest.
The Choice Based Letting system is intended to speed up the allocation of social housing by allowing multiple parties to express interest simultaneously.
The applications are processed by the Housing section of the council in accordance with established criteria which ranks applicants in order of priority.
Only those approved for a 3 bedroom house will be able to view and express an interest in the homes at Donohill in the Cuil Greine Estate.
A successful applicant who refuses a Choice Based Letting offer will not be eligible for consideration for another Choice Based Letting Unit for a period of one year under the terms of the Scheme.
The Council is also urging interested parties to ensure they complete the “Checkout Process” on the portal and highlight that the closing date is Monday February 12th 2024.
