Plans for an upgrade of the transport options between Waterford and Cahir are to be published today including the N24 road which passes through a number of towns and villages including Mooncoin, Kilsheelan, Carrick-On-Suir and Clonmel before arriving in Cahir.
Road designers from ARUP Consultants will be in Cahir House Hotel today from 2pm to 8pm to display the plans and meet with interested parties, especially landowners.
Further information sessions are planned for the Talbot Hotel in Clonmel tomorrow Mooncoin Community Centre on Thursday and the Carraig Hotel, Carrick on Suir on Friday.
All four drop-in information sessions are scheduled from 2pm to 8pm. It is expected to take two years before the project would be ready to go to planning and then a further 6 – 8 months before going to tender.
The Cahir towards Limerick N 24 project is expected to go to planning next year which covers the route between Cahir to Knockballyfookeen just west of Brooks Bridge.
