The GAA have decided to abandon the Munster Hurling League as weather has disrupted the schedule of matches – the Cork/Limerick match was postponed 3 times.

The remaining matches in the Munster Hurling League will not now be played due to a lack of available dates to complete the fixtures.

The counties involved were consulted and Munster GAA announced yesterday that there will be no winner of the competition.

Waterford were awaiting an opponent in a final but with no feasible dates, a decision has been made to void the competition completely.

The Allianz Hurling League will begin in February with Tipperary away to Dublin on February 3rd while Limerick will take on Antrim in FBD Semple Stadium Thurles on February 4th.
