A man has died following an accident on a farm near Galbally, county Limerick.
The man aged in his 60s is understood to have been working at the rear of a tractor when the incident occurred yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services including Gardaí, Tipperary Fire service, Air Ambulance and Health and Safety Authority personnel all attended the scene.
The man’s body was taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick where a post-mortem will take place in due course.
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has been notified and will now fully investigate the circumstances of the man’s death. Garda say a file will be prepared for the Coroner.
