Drivers are advised that a Status Yellow low temperature warning for Tipperary, all of Munster, Leinster and 4 other counties is in place until 11am this morning.
Met Eireann says it will be very cold with a danger of icy patches. Some freezing fog patches locally are also possible which may make for difficult traveling conditions
Met Eireann issued a Weather Advisory yesterday and says this week will see Arctic air bringing winter hazards. Sharp to severe frosts are expected with icy stretches on roads and pavements.
Some sleet or snow will occur at times too, mostly for northern areas, and especially for hills.
The Advisory Warning is in place until noon on Friday January 19th.
