Tipperary Tidy Towns are making an urgent appeal to our community for support with donations to feed, the wild birds in the hills. It is a difficult season on wildlife especially our small wild birds. Donations for bird seed can be made at, All creatures great and small Pet shop on the Limerick Road. You will be given a receipt for your donations no matter how big or small. Thank you.

St. Francis National School, Donohill will hold a clothing collection in the school on January 23rd. Clothes can be dropped to the school anytime up to the morning of he 23rd. Clean good quality clothing. Paired shoes, handbags, belts, bedding and curtains. No toys. No soiled items, duvets or pillows.

Community Gardai in Tipperary will host a Property Marking event, in conjuction with Property Marking Ireland, at Tipperary Mart on Friday 26th January from 11am. Everyone is welcome to bring up to 5 property items to be marked with their eircode. Using this method of security marking along with the Garda Property App will increase the safety and security of your valued items.

WE ARE ANXIOUS TO REJUVENATE: Our ladies Daycare Centre, Ballylanders and we are organising a variety show for Friday, January 19th at 8pm. In the Ballylanders GAA complex. This promises to be a great night with a large number of exciting and highly entertaining acts such as music, dancing, comedy and story telling and bit of craic hosted by Willie Bun. Tickets are available from committee members and also in local shops. The price of tickets are €15.00 and all ticket holders will be in a draw on the night for an overnight stay at the Woodlands Hotel with dinner. We will also have other raffles and auction on the night. Thank you for your support so far and its greatly appreciated.

Yoga for the actively retired with Maggie starts back on Friday January 12th at 11am in the Tipperary Excel Gallery. All are welcome.

Canon Hayes Recreation Centre are holding classes for to Improve Mobility and Balance Circuits, followed by tea and coffee. Every Wednesday at 10am, €6.00 per class. All are welcome. Come in have a look and a chat, meet new people. Contact 062-52022

Cahir Garda District, Annual Senior Citizens Party will be in Cahir House Hotel on Friday 19th of January at 5pm. Music, dancing and refreshments and Spot Prizes. Neighbours and friends who bring an older person are more than welcome to stay and enjoy the evening. Baby and Toddler sensory play group sessions will take place for 3 weeks in Knockavilla Hall. Suitable for children aged 3 months to 3 years. Activities will include sensory play trays, fine and gross motor play, small world play and more. Sessions start next Tuesday the 16th. The Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA), Tipperary and Aherlow LGFA have partnered for a unique fundraising event. Titled “100k in a day”. The event takes place in Canon Hayes Sports Complex, Tipperary Town, starting at 11am on the 20th January. We are organising this fundraiser in conjunction with the Irish Life My Steps challenge and will encourage all club and community members to join in for one hour. Christmas Tree Recycling/Shredding in the Cappamore/Kilmallock Electoral Area, Co. Limerick. The council-run recycling centre are accepting Christmas trees for recycling/shredding at Kilmallock Recycling Centre, Shannon Developments Industrial Estate, Bruree Road, Kilmallock throughout the month of January. This is a free service – maximum of TWO trees per car. Opening hours are: Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 4.45pm.
