Tipperary town Garda Station is advising that the phone lines to the station are not operating.
Management at the station reported problems with the phone lines on Monday and hoped to have the issues resolved yesterday morning.
However today the problem persists and the public are advised that for calls of an emergency nature only, the public should contact 999 or 112.
Calls made to the Tipperary town station number – 062 80670 cannot be made at present.
Cahir Garda station can be contacted by calling 052 7445630 – this station operates 24 hours every day and also has responsibility for Cashel where the Garda Public Office on Friar Street is only open for approximately 10 hours per week.
The Garda Station on Hogan Square, Cashel is currently closed for renovations.
