People in Tipperary are being encouraged to take part in the GOAL Mile walk/run on Christmas Day
The event is taking place in four locations which include Castle Park in Carrick On Suir at 11am, Fethard Town Hall at 12 noon, Moyglass Sports and Leisure Centre at 11am and TUS Sports Hub at 10:30am.
Nationally the event will see over 25,000 people take part to raise funds for some of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable communities in Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.
Last year, GOAL reached 14.6 million people with their humanitarian programmes which centre on providing healthcare, nutrition, livelihood support, and safe water and sanitation facilities to some of the world’s most disadvantaged communities.
