The Christmas lights on the Main Street in Tipperary Town are to be switched on later this evening.
Eilish O Carroll of Mrs Brown’s Boys fame aka Winnie McGoogan will do the honours of turning on the festive light at 5pm at the Market Yard.
Santa is expected to arrive and will have Lidl goodie bags for all the children attending the event.
Entertainment will include Christmas Songs by The Voice of Ireland Finalist, Cycle Against Suicide Ambassador, actress and singer Kayleigh Cullinan, along with D.J. Francis, The C.J. Kickham Band, Pat the Magician with Balloon Modelling.
Tipperary Chamber of Commerce say they are delighted to have such a famous and talented person to switch on the Christmas lights.
The Chamber Committee is also extending thanks to all of the volunteers and to the businesses in the town who have contributed so generously to the cost of the lights this year.
