Sabina Higgins, the wife of President Michael D Higgins, is thanking the public for their support after her recent treatment for breast cancer.
Last month, she said that she underwent a successful procedure as part of continuing treatment for breast cancer.
Ms Higgins is also eternally grateful and full of admiration for all the wonderful medical personnel who gave her such successful breast care.
The wife of the President is once again reminding all women of the importance of being checked for breast cancer, particularly emphasising on women over the age of 70 that the risk continues to increase with age.
Ms Higgin is to make her first public appearance since announcing her diagnose in Tipperary Town as part of a Reflections for Christmas Service.
