Gardaí seized suspected cocaine with an estimated value of approximately €100,000 during the course of a search at a location in Nenagh, yesterday. Drugs paraphernalia was also seized. A man aged in his 20s was arrested in connection with the search and remains in custody.
The drugs will be sent for analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.
The search was conducted as part of Operation Thor by Gardaí from the Divisional Task Force assisted by Divisional Drugs Unit, the Garda Dog Unit and Gardaí from Nenagh District. Operation Thor is designed to tackle the anticipated increase in the number of burglaries and associated criminal activity that usually occur in winter months by undertaking targeted enforcement and preventative activity.
