The Circle of Friends Cancer Support Centre Tipperary town is to hold a two-day celebration of it’s tenth year in operation on December 8th and 9th.

The events begin on Friday when guest speaker Tommie O’Gorman will share his journey with cancer – his presentation is expected to begin at noon.  The former RTE presenter was diagnosed in 1994 with a rare form of the disease, neuro-endocrine tumours (NETs). The Marie Keating Information Team will also be on hand. The event on Friday December 8th will run from 11am to 1pm.

On Saturday, the State of the Art Centre, set in beautifully landscaped grounds at Knockanrawley will hold an appreciation day for all of it’s supporters and volunteers. Staff at Boston Scientific made a major contribution to the development of the gardens. This event will run from 11am to 3pm on Saturday December 9th and the board are encouraging members of the community to attend over the two days to learn about the services and supports available and to allow donors and supporters to see how the project has developed.
