Tipperary County Council has published a short questionnaire and a study area map in respect of the Cahir to Cashel Greenway – the study area extends west to a point past Golden and to a point east of New Inn Village.

This stage is an opportunity for the public to give feedback on the project. The Greenway project is intended to create a sustainable transport link between the towns of Cahir and Cashel.  The Study area map is available to view here.

In the future a Greenway may be developed to link Cahir to Clonmel which would be able to access the Carrick on Suir to Clonmel Greenway already in operation.

The public are asked to give their feedback by January 19th – the map and brochure are available to view in the council offices in Clonmel, Nenagh and Tipperary town and also in Cashel and Cahir libraries and on the council website. The public are asked if they are in favour of such a project, how they might use such a facility and to give information about any local concerns or opportunities that would contribute to a successful design.Future Public Consultations will take place as the project develops to invite feedback on the proposed route options and on the emerging preferred route option as the project progresses through the planning and design process.
