Met Eireann is warning of icy conditions on roads on Thursday night.
Counties Tipperary, Limerick, Clare, Cork, all of Connaught and 14 other counties are now subject to a Status Yellow Low Temperature Ice Warning from 6pm on Thursday until noon on Friday December 1st.
Conditions are forecast to be very cold with temperatures expected to fall below -3 degrees in many areas.
Met Eireann says frost and ice developing will cause hazardous travelling conditions.
