Tipperary Education and Training Board (ETB) honoured 21 of its former staff members at its 2023 Retired Staff Presentation at the Anner Hotel in Thurles on November 10th.

The retirees, which included teachers, tutors, special needs assistants, caretakers, support staff, a deputy principal and a senior training advisor, served for a total of 432 years in Tipperary ETB, and in its previous guise as North and South Tipperary VECs. The staff members, who retired between June 2022 and July 2023, were each presented with a Tipperary Crystal vase and a citation to mark their achievements in education provision.

Each of the retirees were joined by family and friends at the presentation. Chairperson of Tipperary ETB, Cllr Mary Hanna Hourigan, welcomed attendees to the event, explaining that each person was being honoured for their professionalism, dedication and commitment in helping the ETB’s education services to grow and consistently meet the needs of its learners, communities and the economy.
