As intensive conflict continues in the GAZA the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign is to hold a rally this evening in Roscrea.
The aim is to express support for the people of Palestine – the event will take place on Castle Street outside Shaw’s Department store and is set for 6.30pm.
Over 10,000 people have been killed by Israeli airstrikes in Gaza since the Hamas attacks on the 7th of October – 4,000 of them have been children. Nearly two-thirds of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents are internally displaced, according to data from the United Nations.
At present there are no hopes for ceasefire – Israel is demanding the return of an estimated 240 hostages taken on October 7th as precondition for a ceasefire.
