Tipperary town Fire Service reports a quiet night with no callouts due to Halloween events.
Social Media posts report that missiles comprising stones and sticks were thrown at cars in the Lakeland road area of Tipperary Town.
One person reported that the road was blocked and that the windshield of a car was smashed due to the assault.
The post was made by the sister of the driver who reported that the woman and her daughter were traumatised by the assault.
The social media post says the driver was verbally abused and had to reverse from the area as the roadway was blocked.
Tipperary Town Garda Station says that an update on this incident may be available after 11am this morning.
