Local Members of the ICMSA are invited to attend the West Tipperary Area AGM tonight.
The meeting will be held in the Porterhouse at Bank Place in Tipperary town and will commence at 8pm with refreshments.
National President and local member Pat McCormack will be present as will John Enright, the General Secretary of the ICMSA.
The meeting will include the formalities of electing officers, representatives to National Council and Delegates to the AGM as well as ratifying motions for the National AGM. In addition members are to be given an update on the current Farm Schemes, the impact of changes in the Nitrates limits for dairy farmers and a general outlook for the Dairy and Beef sector over the coming period.
Mr McCormack’s term as National President will end this year making tonight’s local AGM an opportunity to thank members for their support to date.
The ICMSA, the Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association, represents all farmers, particularly dairy and livestock farmers by lobbying at local, national and EU levels. It places special emphasis on preserving the family farm structure and defending the rights and incomes of farm families.
