The Tipperary Cahir Cashel Municipal District Meeting for October is to be held on Monday.
The 11 councillors will receive updates from council officials on a range of issues and consider 6 motions on the agenda.
In addition, the councillors are to select 3 priority road issues in the district to be discussed with Transport Infrastructure Ireland at the Annual November meeting with the roads authority. All five Districts are asked to identify 3 priority road issues at this time of the year.
The motions cover a range of issues – Cllr Declan Burgess is seeking a review of all disability parking bays in the district to insure they are properly marked and signed, Cllr Roger Kennedy has two motions one seeking a new street light on the Golden road in Cashel at the uncontrolled road crossing, and also wants a review and action on improving safety at the Golden Vale Cross in Dundrum for residents and commuters, Cllr John Crosse is seeking the restoration of a yellow “no parking box” on Kickham street, Tipperary town at the side entrance to a local business, Cllr Andy Moloney is seeking that a footpath be installed on the Ardfinnan Road leading from Cahir during the next round of road maintenance in the area and finally Cllr Anne Marie Ryan is requesting that the road way and the footpath linking the train station at Limerick Junction to the N24 be upgraded and resurfaced.
The meeting will take place on Monday at the council office on Rosanna Road, Tipperary town at 11am.
