A man is to appear in Cashel District Court this afternoon in connection with a series of robberies at bookmaker’s establishments in county Tipperary.
The man, aged in his 50s, was arrested by detectives from the Clonmel District Crime Unit during an arrest operation conducted in the west Dublin area on Wednesday October 18th.
This operation forms part of ongoing investigations into robberies at premises in Fethard on September 28th, Killenaule on October 12th, Carrick-on-Suir on October 15th and an attempted robbery in Clonmel on October 7th.
The individual was detained in a Tipperary Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 after the Dublin arrest.
