Cllr Andy Moloney, Cahir Local Electoral Area, is appealing to drivers to be patient as urgent repair works are underway on the bridge over the river Suir in Cahir. Works are expected to be completed by October 30th. The works are necessary due to the deterioration of some parts of the Bridge and are essential to ensure that the bridge can continue to function as a two way bridge at all times.
The Independent Councillor is also appealing to any drivers that can avoid travelling over the bridge during the works to do so. Tipperary County Council says temporary traffic management which sees one lane closed for the duration of the works will be in place as necessary until the repairs are completed. Construction works will take place between the hours of 8.30pm to 5pm each day.
