Residents in Tipperary Town are expressing concerns about the pedestrian crossing on the N74 Tipperary to Cashel road being out of order for several days.
The crossing is used by pedestrians of all ages but especially by school children and young families travelling to/from school.
The crossing is located near a junction and also opposite a local service station and shop making it a busy area with a high volume of local pedestrian and vehicle movements in addition to the N74 through traffic.
Adults bringing children to school perhaps accompanied with a younger child in a buggy say the crossing is invaluable for safe passage.
The issue has been notified to Tipperary County Council.
