Limerick County Board is to ratify a further two year term for current senior hurling team manager John Kiely. The Galbally man recently changed roles in the Abbey School in Tipperary town to take on the role of Deputy Principal after serving as Principal for 10 years.
Since taking over the position of Limerick manager in 2016 the Treaty county has seen unprecedented success in winning 5 All Ireland Senior titles, and in 2024 will be aiming for the elusive five in a row.
The existing management group for the team is expected to continue – Paul Kinnerk, Alan Cunningham, Aonghus O’Brien and Donal O’Grady will be working for that very special win next year. The Limerick squad are taking a team holiday in November and will begin
the Munster Championship next year with a match against Clare in Ennis on the weekend of April 20/21. Tipperary’s first championship match next year is against Limerick on the weekend of April 27/28.
