Storm Agnes caused damage to the entrance gates at the Bishops walk at the Rock of Cashel.
The entrance leads onto a small boardwalk area that turns into a gravel path leading to the town centre.
Tipperary County Council says that the gates will be locked until remedial works are completed.
The works are expected to be completed today and the gates will be reopened tomorrow. Tipperary County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.
