Uisce Eireann says there may be supply disruptions for customers in the Tudor Court area of Tipperary town this morning. Repairs are being completed as part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme. Works are scheduled to take place from 9am until 1pm on 14 September.
A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works. Normal water supply should be fully restored 2 -3 hours after the completion of the works.
Uisce Eireann says contractors do not anticipate that there will be any further planned disruptions in the short term for the Garryskillane locality subsequent to today’s planned outage. Works were completed at Cratloe, Galbally road, yesterday without the requirement for an outage.
The company has 63,000 km of water pipes underground in Ireland – and is working to reduce the amount lost by leakage. 37% of processed water was lost to leaks in 2022 down from 46% in 2018. The company is working towards lowering the amount of water lost to leaks to 25% by 2030.
Customers can phone Uisce Éireann on 1800 278 278 if they have any questions about the project or check out the Water Supply Updates section of the Uisce Éireann website for regular updates.
