The State Examinations Commission is to have the Junior Certificate Examination results available on October 18th.
Minister for Education Norma Foley revealed the date as she attended the Fianna Fáil Party meeting at the Horse and Jockey Hotel.
The results will be available from schools on the Morning of October 18th and online from 4pm.
This year’s results day is significantly earlier than last year when the results were released on November 23rd.
The Minister says more examiners were available and use was made of online marking in almost all Junior Cycle subjects resulting in the improved turnaround times.
