Séamus Callanan is to retire from inter-county hurling. The 34 year old Drom and Inch star won three All-Irelands and a National League title. He was named Hurler of the Year in 2019, when he also captained Tipperary to an All Ireland title. Seamus also wont Four All-Star awards during his career. Seamus describes the 2019 win as the highlight of his career along with the memories of bringing the Liam MacCarthy Cup to his home club Drom and Inch. The player also thanked Liam Sheedy for his trust but paid special thanks to former Manager Eamon O’Shea for his guidance.
Current Tipperary manager Liam Cahill acknowledged the outstanding commitment over a long and distinguished career with Tipperary and wishes Seamus the very best in the future.
