Aqualeak To Conduct Some Water Tests In Tipp Town

354

Uisce Eireann are reminding the public that employees of Aqualeak will be conducting some testing in parts of Tipperary town tonight.

The company says all of the work will be completed on the public side of the water network and as such access to private properties will not be required.

The works are scheduled for between 1am and 5am.

The leak detection works also known as “step testing” may cause reduced pressure and flow to properties at Tipperary Road, St Michael’s Road, St Michael’s Street, St Patrick’s Avenue, Murgasty Road, Tipperary Town and surrounding areas during the early hours of Thursday, 7 September.

The night time schedule is intended to eliminate outages during peak times, which is during day time hours.

Due to high usage during the day where the step testing results would be inconclusive, this testing is carried out at night as less people are using less water.

The company advises that water pressure and flow may be reduced for a short time while the works are taking place.

Uisce Eireann says there will be no traffic management implications during the works. The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact the company on Twitter @IWCare with any queries.
