Drivers using the R639 on the south side of Cashel (also known as the Cahir Road) are advised of construction works commencing next Monday August 21st. The works area extends from The Green towards the roundabout leading to the M8 Junction. The works are to be carried out at day time between the hours of 8am and 5pm and are expected to run until October 30th.
The project involves the installation of cycle lanes and new footpaths using funding provided by the Active Travel Scheme. A temporary Traffic Management System will be in effect with drivers asked to drive with caution in the area and to expect some slight delays.
