As road works continue on the Main Street of Tipperary Town it has emerged that repairs are also being made to the footpaths.
Resurfacing works will resume tonight at approximately 8pm and continue until 7am on Saturday.
The resurfacing work(being undertaken at night) is expected to be concluded by Saturday August 19th.
Drivers are asked to drive with caution due to uneven road surfaces and exposed gullies and utility covers – road markings such as Junction Boxes and pedestrians crossing not in place on what is the temporary driving surface.
Caution is also advised due to the construction vehicles and personnel working on site.
Tipperary County Council says that the footpaths will be cleaned following the road works subject to the availability of the contractor.
Drivers are also reminded that there is a Race Meeting at Tipperary Racecourse this evening.
The first race is at 4.45pm and the final race is at 8.10pm – the event will lead to extra traffic before and after the race meeting.
